Meet super nerd Don Eiyan (pronounced Eye-en).

I wanted an over the top nerd to fit an over the top comic. I wanted him to look freakishly intimidating in the first panel too, despite the obnoxious tee shirt.
Nerdy details include:
Steampunk goggles
'I cannot fathom that you are wearing that in broad daylight' obnoxious anime tee shirt (The word covered by the strap is DESU)
Watch with an unnecessary zipper
The One Ring

He holds roughly 100 objects in his bag, most of which is useless stuff for show, such as his Warhammer 40k army, along with the table and terrain to play on, and perfect replica of the Megaton Hammer used for intimidation purposes only. He wouldn't dare actually use it due to his fear of scratching it. He is fluent in Spanish, Klingon, Elvish, and Pig Latin. He also attends a monthly LARP, playing a level 40 Dark Elf.
Ramona dated him once as a 'pity date,' and he hasn't quite stopped chasing for her affection since.

Edit: Didn't make the semi-finals. I was pretty disappointed with most of the DA judges choices, but I guess I just missed the memo on what's considered funny.
